Wind energy application

Application Hydraulic Top Drives (HTD)
Wandfluh valves for HTDs are low loss, high flow and high pressure to get more work done with the energy used, reducing operating costs and heat generation, extending the life of the oil and system components. Manifold assemblies integrated into HTDs must be compact, efficient and built to withstand harsh environments from drilling process fluids to high vibration and shock loads.

Control
In larger projects, the operation of hydraulic machines are often controlled by a central supervisory system that continuously adjusts parameters to optimize performance. This system can modify the operation of individual valves through command signals and can also monitor sensor data to maintain close and corrective oversight of the process. Proportional valves are typically used for variable and often fine adjustments to flow or pressure, creating a highly flexible system that can be adapted quickly to changing conditions or needs.
Valves with on-board electronics (OBE) or discrete control electronic units that include open loop amplifiers or closed loop controllers convert command signals directly into coil drive signals, ensuring a quick response and precise coordination between the electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems for smooth operation.
