Spool valve Ex-protection
Wandfluh has extended the proven spool valves for the modular valve construction with a version for use in highly corrosive environments. The valve can control volume flows up to 50 l/min with up to 350 bar and is available as a 2-way or 3-way function. All external parts such as valve body, cover, solenoid coil etc. are made of stainless and acid-resistant steel (AISI 316L). The armature tube with its zinc-nickel coating is already very well protected against corrosion (1000h in the salt spray test) and is additionally closed from the outside with a stainless cover. The valve of nominal size NG6 is controlled by a solenoid certified for use in explosion-hazard areas. Therefore, the valve with the designation WDYFA06_K10 can be used in danger zones 1 + 2. The valve controls the flow direction and thus the direction of movement or rotation of hydraulic actuators. It is mainly used in harsh weather conditions or near the sea.
